Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within educational settings
- Passion for working with elementary-aged children and fostering their growth
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
- Demonstrated reliability, strong communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to adapt to the unique needs of a 1:1 support role
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing direct assistance to an assigned elementary student to support learning, participation, and inclusion
- Implementing instructional and behavioral strategies as directed by the classroom teacher and specialists
- Assisting with classroom activities, transitions, and daily routines
- Monitoring student progress and reporting observations to team members
- Maintaining a supportive, respectful, and encouraging environment for the student
