Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children or students in an educational or care setting
- Ability to follow educational plans and adapt to different learning needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, patience, and reliability in a fast-paced classroom setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional academic coursework or certification in education is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and managing classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with academic, behavioral, or physical needs
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers
- Support students with mobility or personal needs as required
- Foster a safe and positive environment that encourages participation and learning
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as requested
