Heres an exciting new contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a paraprofessional in a vibrant school community! This position offers the chance to work one-on-one with a student who may have behavioral needs and requires a caring, dedicated professional ready to make a positive impact each day.

Flexible hours are available, with either 20 or 30 hours per week at an elementary campus, depending on your preference and caseload needs. Caseload and final weekly hours details will be shared soon, but you can count on collaborating closely with both experienced educators and a supportive administration.

Key qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or behavioral therapist in a school setting is highly valued.
• Comfort working 1:1 with students with various disabilities, including behavioral.
• Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care tasks as needed for an elementary-age student.
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills.
• Reliability and flexibility to accommodate students changing needs.

In this role, you will:

• Provide consistent support to a student, helping implement their academic and behavioral plans.
• Assist with classroom activities and facilitate social interactions.
• Maintain open communication with teachers, school staff, and, when appropriate, families.
• Encourage participation, independence, and positive behavior throughout the school day.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
