Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment, preferably at the elementary level
- Familiarity with behavioral interventions and academic support strategies
- Ability to work patiently and compassionately with children requiring 1:1 assistance
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and student interaction
- Adaptability and a proactive attitude in dynamic classroom situations
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one support tailored to students behavioral and academic needs
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Encourage student engagement, helping them access the curriculum and classroom activities
- Monitor progress and communicate observations to the teaching team and other professionals
- Use positive behavior reinforcement and model appropriate classroom conduct
