Job Description
Make a positive impact working with students during Extended School Year (ESY) sessions this summer! Dedicated paraprofessionals will support elementary, middle, or high school classrooms from June 15 to June 25, 2026, Monday through Thursday. Assignments and caseloads are based on student needs, creating a dynamic and engaging work environment. Ideal candidates enjoy collaborating with educators and helping learners successfully access their curriculum during the summer.
Key Requirements:
- Must be considered highly qualified by one of the following:
- Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Educator Exam and providing documentation, or
- Possession of at least 60 college credits (official transcripts must be submitted; a diploma will not suffice)
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional (in any K12 setting)
- Ability to effectively support students with varying needs in elementary, middle, or high school groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt assignments as needed, based on student placements
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in daily classroom activities and instructional support
- Provide 1:1 and small group assistance to students, helping them engage and progress
- Collaborate with classroom staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
- Model respectful, positive behavior and follow school procedures
- Support students through transitions and routines during the ESY session
