Make a positive impact supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a vibrant elementary setting near Elizabeth, NJ! This contract-based opportunity offers three immediate openings for caring and adaptable professionals ready to enrich learners lives for the remainder of the academic year.
Youll be a key part of the classroom experience, working in one dedicated school setting. Full-time and per diem positions are available, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. This role encompasses a range of experiences, including assisting preschoolers with disabilities, supporting kindergarten to first grade students in a self-contained classroom, and helping a fourth-grade class as a shared paraprofessional.
What Were Looking For:
- 48 college credits OR an Associates Degree, or a valid Paraprofessional Certification
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in an educational environment is a plus
- Passion for working with children of diverse needs and backgrounds
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom settings and student requirements
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom and one-on-one support to students as directed by teachers
- Assist with academic tasks, implementing lesson and behavior plans
- Foster independence and social skills among students
- Monitor student progress and offer feedback to instructional team
- Collaborate with staff and families to reinforce learning objectives
- Support daily routines, classroom management, and student engagement
