Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a dynamic educational setting near Elgin, IL. Two immediate positions are available, providing vital classroom inclusion assistance across Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Key Qualifications & Experience
- Active Illinois Paraprofessional License (required)
- Previous experience supporting students in K-5th grade classrooms preferred
- Willingness and ability to assist with toileting or personal care, if needed
- Clear criminal background history; district will not proceed with candidates with record hits
- Ability to commit to the full contract period through 5/24/27
- Dependable and punctual, meeting consistent start, break, and end times
- Comfortable working onsite in a busy school environment
- Flexible, compassionate, and proactive team player
Core Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support for students in inclusive general education settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, related service personnel, and other paraprofessionals
- Offer individualized assistance to students as needed, including learning activities and behavior support
- Support daily routines for classrooms, including supervision during transitions and lunch
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and follow all school procedures
- Provide toileting or personal care assistance for students who require it
This role is full-time, 35 hours a week (8:15am-3:45pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
