Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Prior experience working with children or in a school environment is highly valued
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or paraprofessional certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow lesson plans and provide guidance while fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere
- Reliable, flexible, and able to collaborate as part of a team
- Comfortable assisting students with special needs or adapting support to diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in instructional activities and managing daily classroom functions
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed
- Help maintain an organized, safe, and nurturing learning environment
- Participate in the implementation of individual education programs (IEPs) as needed
- Support teachers with classroom materials, behavior management, and supervision during activities
- Encourage student engagement, independence, and growth both academically and socially
