Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting young learners as an elementary paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment. This full-time opportunity focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 assistance to a student, offering both behavioral guidance and academic support to help them thrive throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong skills in providing personalized support for students with behavioral or academic needs
- Patience, adaptability, and clear communication abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and parents
- Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or child development is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized 1:1 support, focusing on both behavior management and academic goals
- Assist the student with daily classroom activities, assignments, and routines
- Implement strategies and interventions designed by the educational team
- Foster social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions with peers and staff
- Document progress and communicate observations to teachers and administrators
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times
