Job Description

This full-time opportunity focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 assistance to a student, offering both behavioral guidance and academic support to help them thrive throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, preferably in an elementary school setting
  • Strong skills in providing personalized support for students with behavioral or academic needs
  • Patience, adaptability, and clear communication abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and parents
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in education or child development is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized 1:1 support, focusing on both behavior management and academic goals
  • Assist the student with daily classroom activities, assignments, and routines
  • Implement strategies and interventions designed by the educational team
  • Foster social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions with peers and staff
  • Document progress and communicate observations to teachers and administrators
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times
