Job Description
Provide support to students as a paraprofessional within elementary special education programs in Burnsville, MN. This on-site contract role offers a consistent 35-hour workweek from now through June 4, 2026, assisting with focused learning needs at multiple elementary schools.
Responsibilities include:
- Working directly with students in special education programs to support learning and development
- Implementing individualized educational plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance
- Supporting students at William Byrne Elementary (Focus Program), Gideon Pond Elementary, and Sky Oaks Elementary
- Collaborating with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Two years of college credits from an accredited institution OR
- An associate degree or higher OR
- Passing score on an approved academic assessment such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher
- Meet required competencies outlined in the state-approved competency grid
- PCA certificate or willingness to obtain one (training available and takes less than an hour)
- Submission of proof of education, assessment results, or certification is required for interview consideration
Location:
- Burnsville, MN positions are strictly on-site with no virtual option.
