Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Reliable, patient, and adaptable to varying classroom needs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher is a plus)
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques or experience working with students with diverse needs a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and assistance to students in both classroom and small group settings
  • Work closely with teachers to reinforce lesson plans, classroom routines, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress, encourage engagement, and assist with daily activities
  • Support students with special needs, including implementing behavioral strategies under teacher direction
  • Help manage classroom materials and prepare instructional resources
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment
