Job Description
Support students learning and development as a Paraprofessional in an Early Childhood setting within a reputable school district in Northbrook, IL. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through June 8, 2026, offering a 32.5-hour workweek in an onsite role. Two positions are available to assist educators and provide essential support to young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional support and classroom management
- Work directly with early childhood students to support individualized educational goals
- Help implement lesson plans under teacher supervision
- Support social and behavioral development of students in the classroom
- Collaborate with educational staff to ensure a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must possess an IEIN Paraprofessional Certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Previous experience working with early childhood students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to diverse student needs
- Commitment to maintaining a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
