Job Description

Make a difference in the lives of students during the 2026-2027 school year by supporting learners as an ABA Paraprofessional/ABA Therapist in the greater Grand Blanc area. This rewarding, full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through June. The position offers the opportunity to work both 1:1 and in classroom settings with students across all grade levels, ranging from mild-moderate to severe needs, including resource, self-contained, cognitively impaired, and emotionally impaired classrooms. Flexibility regarding caseload and building assignment is essential, as preferences are considered but ultimate assignments are based on district needs.

Candidates will collaborate with special education teams and provide vital daily assistance, often similar to health aide support. Duties may involve supporting students with cognitive impairments in personal care, such as diapering and toileting. Schedules are full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with hours varying slightly based on specific school placements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with ABA, paraprofessional work, or as an ABA therapist in a school setting
  • Flexibility to work across different student needs and classroom environments
  • At least 60 semester hours of college credit (official university transcripts required prior to presentation), OR
  • Associates degree or higher, OR
  • Passing scores in ETS Paraprofessional Assessment (at least 460), or
  • College Boards SAT (at least 480 on evidence-based reading/writing and 530 in math)
  • Comfortable with personal care tasks for students as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and classroom support services for students with various learning and behavioral needs
  • Adapt to changing caseloads and building assignments as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers and special education professionals to support student progress
