Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional in a welcoming school community near Danbury, CT. This full-time, contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the academic year. Youll play a key role assisting educators and enriching the learning experience for young learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience as a paraprofessional or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) preferred
  • Eagerness to work in an educational environment supporting children and adolescents
  • Ability to follow classroom routines and support individualized student goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers and build rapport with students
  • Reliability and commitment to the entire academic term
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications are a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support to classroom teachers and students within one assigned school
  • Work closely with students from early childhood through adolescence, adapting support based on age group and individual needs
  • Assist with academic activities, behavioral interventions, and daily routines under teacher supervision
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student growth and participation
  • Maintain clear documentation of student progress and collaborative activities
  • Communicate regularly with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency in student support
