This contract opportunity invites passionate educators to make a meaningful difference from August 2026 through June 2027, working with K-5 students in a life skills-based program.
Bring your expertise as a Paraprofessional, and help foster a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. As an integral member of the classroom, youll collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to adapt curriculum and provide individualized support, ensuring students access the resources and guidance they need to succeed academically and personally.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active II or III Educational Technician certificate is required
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a K-5 setting preferred
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Ability to implement and reinforce life skill-based curriculum
- Creative problem-solving and adaptability when responding to student needs
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, providing academic and behavioral support
- Help guide students through life skills activities, reinforcing lessons that promote independence
- Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and adapting resources to meet diverse learning needs
- Document student progress and communicate updates effectively
- Model positive behaviors and encourage student engagement
- Maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment
