Make a positive impact this summer as a contract Paraprofessional supporting students across a spectrum of needs in an educational setting near Daly City, CA. Flexible assignments are available for Pre-K through County Programs, with schedules running Monday through Friday between mid-June and mid-July. Paraprofessionals may be assigned to assist with a variety of student support tasks, including toileting, feeding, and other personal care, as well as implementing individualized accommodations in both classroom and community settings. Adaptability, reliability, and a team-oriented spirit are absolutely essential, as youll work in an environment that requires responsiveness to shifting needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- At minimum, an Associates Degree or higher, OR 48 college units and a high school diploma, OR passing of the CBEST/instructional aide exam with high school diploma
- Certification(s) in CPR/First Aid, Braille, Sign Language, or California Vocational Nursing License, depending on specialty assignment, are a plus
- Previous experience with students who have social-emotional/behavioral needs, special healthcare requirements, or sensory impairments highly valued
- Ability and willingness to support all aspects of student care, including but not limited to toileting, diapering, feeding, G-tube procedures, and more for assigned students
- Commitment to complete required training for medication administration and specialized healthcare tasks (training provided/funded)
- Team-player attitude and readiness to adapt to the needs of the campus as assigned
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with educators and specialists to deliver individualized, hands-on support to students
- Carry out daily student care, classroom assistance, and facilitate communication or adaptive needs
- Attend and engage in training modules as required by assignment
