Take the next step in your career supporting students in a dynamic educational environment! A Secondary ESY Paraprofessional position is available for a summer contract role. This engaging opportunity involves working directly with secondary students from July 6th through July 23rd, following a Monday through Thursday schedule from 7:30 am to 1:00 pm (including a 30-minute lunch break), totaling 20 contracted hours per week.
As a valued paraprofessional in this role, you'll have the chance to make a significant impactwhether providing dedicated 1:1 support to students or assisting teachers in a classroom setting. Use your skills to foster a positive learning experience, encourage student engagement, and help every learner thrive during the Extended School Year program.
Key Qualifications:
- Para Test Certification, or
- Proof of two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, or
- Proof of college degree
- Experience working with secondary students or in an educational environment preferred
- Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for student support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive support to individual students or assist small groups, ensuring each learners unique needs are met
- Work collaboratively with educators and school staff to enhance classroom instruction
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
- Assist with daily activities, behavior management, and documentation as requested
