An opportunity is available for a paraprofessional to support students in center-based classrooms, focusing on assisting learners with varied needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Located in Cottage Grove, MN, this contract position offers 32.5 hours per week and involves directly contributing to enhancing student educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in center-based settings, adapting to individual educational and care needs.
• Assist students with ASD, providing specialized attention and ensuring their engagement in classroom activities.
• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, lifting, and feeding support when necessary.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to implement lesson plans and behavior interventions.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Para Test Certification.
• Proof of two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, or
• Proof of college degree.
• Comfort and willingness to perform personal care duties as requested.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with children with diverse needs.
• Availability for a 32.5-hour workweek.
