Job Description
Supporting K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment in Citrus Heights, CA, this paraprofessional role focuses on assisting classrooms with moderate to severe behavioral needs. The position supports both 1:1 student settings and general classroom aide responsibilities across various schools in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with high behavioral needs.
- Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and delivering individualized support.
- Work directly with students in 1:1 or small group settings to facilitate learning and engagement.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, adhering to all school policies.
- Collaborate with educational staff to implement behavior management plans and instructional strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) and CPR certification are required.
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to adapt to various classroom settings across El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino.
- Willingness to support in diverse educational environments from 1:1 support to general classroom assistance.
- Flexibility to work across multiple school locations within the county.
