This contract opportunity concentrates on schools in El Dorado County, offering a chance to work in both 1:1 and classroom aide capacities. As a valued part of a specialized sub pool, youll primarily serve moderate to severe classrooms with students requiring high behavioral support.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven paraprofessional experience in school settings
- Active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- Current CPR certification
- Flexibility to travel throughout El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino
- Strong communication and de-escalation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with students with behavioral and developmental challenges
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive assistance to students with significant behavioral or developmental needs in the classroom or as a 1:1 aide
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, behavioral technicians, and special education staff
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ensure student safety, well-being, and engagement throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate records and follow all school policies
- Proactively contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative learning environment
