Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational, daycare, or tutoring setting
  • Understanding of classroom routines and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and staff
  • Flexibility and adaptability to various classroom environments and student needs
  • Ability to follow directions and implement individualized support plans
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities
  • Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and foster skill development
  • Help implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior management plans as directed by certified staff
  • Supervise students in classroom, cafeteria, and outdoor settings for safety and engagement
  • Provide support with classroom organization, materials preparation, and documentation
  • Encourage positive social interactions and promote an inclusive, respectful learning atmosphere
