Qualifications & Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or related work in a school environment
• Background in behavioral intervention or experience managing challenging student behaviors preferred
• Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
• Patience, adaptability, and a student-centered approach
• Must meet state and district requirements for paraprofessional certification

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 with an assigned student, supporting daily academic and behavioral goals
• Assist with implementing behavioral intervention plans and supportive strategies
• Foster an inclusive, caring classroom environment tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavioral incidents
• Encourage student independence while ensuring a safe, positive experience
• Support student participation in classroom activities, transitions, and routines
