Key Qualifications:

• Valid VA Paraprofessional certification required
• Previous experience supporting students or working as a paraprofessional in educational environments preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Reliability and flexibility in adjusting to a variety of classroom needs and student abilities

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional and behavioral support for students K-12
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance, reinforcing learning objectives and fostering student engagement
• Help implement lesson plans, adapt activities, and monitor student progress
• Support students with diverse academic, emotional, and physical needs
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere
• Document observations and participate in team meetings as needed
