We are seeking a skilled ASL Paraeducator or Interpreter to provide part-time support to a primary age student. This onsite role, located near Chehalis, WA, offers consistent hours each week and the opportunity to make a daily impact in a school environment.
Your days will be spent fostering communication, inclusion, and learning, working closely with faculty and staff to implement effective strategies and support individual student needs. This contract runs through June 2027 and is ideal for professionals dedicated to advancing educational accessibility.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in an educational paraprofessional role
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) essential
- EIPA score preferred for interpreters or those with certification
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and parents
- Dedication to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support as an ASL Paraeducator or Interpreter for a primary-aged student
- Facilitate communication between the student and teachers or peers
- Assist in adapting instructional materials to meet the students needs
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teaching team
- Support the individual goals outlined in the students educational plan
