Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Completion of two years of college coursework from an accredited institution, or an associate degree (or higher)
  • Alternatively, a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or meeting the proficiencies outlined in the MDE approved competency grid
  • PCA certificate preferredor willingness to obtain one (certificate process provided free, takes less than an hour)
  • Passion for working with students in special education settings and the flexibility to adapt to a variety of classroom needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic and behavioral support to students in accordance with individualized education plans
  • Assist licensed teachers by implementing instructional strategies and modifying classroom activities to ensure student engagement
  • Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment within the focus program
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, case managers, and other staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback
  • Help with transitions, personal care, and other daily activities as needed

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $58.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
