Make an immediate and meaningful difference by providing direct support to students as a paraprofessional in an engaging school environment near Blue Springs, MO. This contract opportunity focuses on meaningful 1:1 assistance for two exceptional studentsa 4th grader and an 11th graderwho are medically fragile and benefit from compassionate and attentive care throughout the school day.

Requirements and Skills:

• Previous experience supporting students as a paraprofessional, particularly in a school setting
• Comfort and compassion assisting with toileting and diapering responsibilities for medically fragile children
• Ability to maintain calm and positive support during instances of challenging behavior
• Willingness to be trained on adaptive equipment, including a hoyer lift (prior experience a plus, but not required)
• Reliable communication and a collaborative spirit for working with educators, therapists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 assistance throughout the school day to support each students unique needsfostering inclusion and participation in classroom activities
• Deliver hands-on care, including routine toileting/diapering and safe transfers as needed
• Help implement behavior intervention plans for the 11th grade student as directed by educational staff
• Participate in team meetings, including early Tuesday start times for collaboration and planning
• Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and student progress
• Engage in ongoing training and professional growth as offered by the campus
