Job Description
Support students educational and behavioral needs in a dynamic school district located in Missouri, serving multiple elementary, middle, and high schools. This per diem paraprofessional role offers flexible shifts supporting special education classrooms, including 1:1 aide and classroom assistant duties. You will work with students exhibiting behavioral challenges, implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and assisting with toileting as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support in SPED classrooms across elementary, middle, and high schools.
- Assist students with behavior management in accordance with individualized plans.
- Perform 1:1 support or classroom aide duties to promote student engagement and success.
- Manage personal hygiene assistance, including toileting support as required.
- Accept shift notifications and assignments through the designated app platform.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Substitute (SUB) or Paraprofessional certification on DESE (or must be active before starting).
- Demonstrated experience working in schools with students who have behavioral needs.
- Familiarity with behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and SPED classroom routines.
- Completion of district-specific fingerprinting process.
- Ability to work 1 to 5 days per week on a flexible per diem schedule.
- Comfortable working in various school settings, including elementary, middle, and high school.
Location & Schedule:
- Positions available across 33 schools, primarily elementary, in Missouri.
- Shift hours vary by school level: Elementary: 8:30 AM4:00 PM or 9:00 AM4:30 PM Middle School: 7:00 AM2:30 PM High School: 7:30 AM3:00 PM
- Per diem role with no guaranteed hours; paid only for shifts worked.
