Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in Lehigh County as a dedicated paraprofessional or instructional assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. Work in specialized classroomseither functional or behavioral multiple disabilities supporthelping students achieve their full potential in inclusive, hands-on settings. Assignments are based in school districts throughout Lehigh County, with placements determined by evolving district needs and candidate preferences when possible.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or similar role within a school or special education setting
• Ability to meet one of Pennsylvanias paraprofessional qualification requirements (48+ college credits, associate degree or higher, or state/local qualifying assessment); candidates without credentials may fulfill this during onboarding
• Positive supervisory references from recent paraprofessional roles
• Willingness to perform personal care, lifting, feeding, toileting, and behavior support as needed
• Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance; ideal candidates live within 30-35 minutes of assignment locations
• Comfortable working in classrooms where behaviors may include hitting, biting, or other challenges
• Ability to follow a school-day schedule (typically between 7:00 AM3:30 PM)
• Committed to completing onboarding, clearances, and DOE requirements within established timelines

Key Responsibilities:

• Support instructional and behavioral programs for students with disabilities in accordance with teacher and team guidance
• Provide hands-on assistance including personal care and daily living skills
• Maintain compassionate and professional communication with students, staff, and families
• Adapt to classroom or school changes as student or district needs evolve
