Job Description

This contract opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment and is interested in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year (tentatively running from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027, following the standard school calendar).

As a valued member of the school team, youll work either a 35-hour week (school-age students) or a 29-hour week (early intervention programs), assisting teachers, supporting classroom activities, and fostering an inclusive learning space where all students can succeed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must meet one or more Pennsylvania paraprofessional qualification requirements (as outlined by the state)
  • Experience working with children or within educational settings preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, educators, and families
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow school protocols
  • Adaptable and team-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the direction of classroom teachers
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and productive environment for student growth
  • Contribute to classroom management and organization
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
