Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a school paraprofessional. In this dynamic, full-time role, youll work within a single school near Bethel, CT, making a meaningful difference each day. As a para or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will collaborate with educators and specialists while assisting students through their educational journey for the remainder of the school year.

Your day-to-day involvement will focus on providing tailored support to assigned students, primarily within elementary and middle school grades, enhancing their learning experiences and contributing to a positive school environment. This hands-on position is ideal for compassionate, motivated individuals eager to foster academic and personal growth in young learners.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a paraprofessional or RBT within a school setting is highly preferred
  • Ability to support students with varying needs, including behavioral, social, and academic challenges
  • Strong communication skills and flexibility when working with students, teachers, and families
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or relevant certifications are a plus
  • Demonstrated patience, positivity, and commitment to student-centered support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to an assigned caseload of students in elementary/middle school classrooms
  • Assist with classroom activities, assignments, and daily routines under teacher supervision
  • Implement strategies and interventions as part of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or behavior plans
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to instructional teams
