Job Description
Support students in a dynamic educational environment as a dedicated paraprofessional on a contract basis. Work closely with educators and students to help facilitate learning, foster independence, and ensure a positive classroom experience. Your involvement will be crucial in helping students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or in school settings preferred
- Ability to follow teacher guidance and classroom protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, flexible, and eager to learn
- Patient, compassionate, and able to address individual student needs
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further training or relevant certifications are an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management, activities, and lesson preparation
- Work one-on-one or in small groups to support students academic and social needs
- Support students with disabilities or special needs, as directed by instructional staff
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and structured environment
- Supervise students in classroom and non-classroom settings (e.g., lunch, recess, field trips)
- Help maintain classroom materials and resources
- Monitor student progress and report observations to teachers as needed
