Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational or childcare setting
  • Ability to assist students with diverse needs and learning styles
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related coursework a plus
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and meet school compliance requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lesson plans, activities, and classroom management
  • Provide direct support and guidance to students, individually and in small groups
  • Support students with special needs by implementing instructional adaptations as directed
  • Help with classroom organization, materials preparation, and supervision during transitions
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and engaging learning atmosphere
  • Track student progress and communicate insights to teaching staff
  • Assist during extracurricular activities, assemblies, and school events as needed
