Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with K-5 students as an Educational Technician in a supportive and dynamic educational environment. This role is designed for dedicated paraprofessionals passionate about fostering student growth and providing life skills-based support. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and offers a consistent 32-hour work week.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Educational Technician II or III certification required
- Prior experience working as a school paraprofessional strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of life skill-based curriculum and support methods in K-5 settings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
- Adaptability to meet the varying needs of students
Primary Duties:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to K-5 students
- Collaborate with lead teachers and support specialized instructional plans
- Implement life skill curriculum designed for elementary learners
- Assist with classroom management, daily routines, and individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Encourage student engagement and promote independence
- Maintain accurate records and help create a supportive educational environment
