Job Description
This full-time paraprofessional position supports an essential life skills program for elementary students and provides critical assistance in a classroom setting. The role is contracted for a full semester, starting ASAP through May 29, 2026, with working hours from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM. Located in Aurora, IL, this opportunity enables a qualified individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of elementary-aged children with diverse needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students in the Essentials/Life Skills program with daily learning activities
- Provide support for students with disabilities and medical needs
- Assist with toileting, feeding, and hygiene care as required
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement individualized education plans
- Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois paraprofessional certification is mandatory
- Experience supporting students with disabilities and medical requirements
- Ability and willingness to assist with toileting, hygiene, and feeding needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
