Key Qualifications:

• Experience serving as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting preferred
• Ability to assist classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
• Excellent communication skills and patience when working with students
• Understanding of, or eagerness to learn, diverse classroom strategies and special education support
• High school diploma or GED required; some college or relevant certifications a plus
• Reliable, compassionate, and flexible in adapting to various classroom or student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Aid in the instruction of students, offering additional support as directed by the classroom teacher
• Supervise students in the classroom, during transitions, and at activities
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students
• Assist with individualized learning plans and accommodations as needed
• Support classroom organization, preparation of materials, and documentation
• Foster positive social and emotional skills among students
