Make a meaningful impact by supporting young learners in a center-based setting, working with children ages 2 to 3 years old. This contract role offers the chance to provide vital assistance to educators and students and to become part of a committed, collaborative environment focused on early childhood development. The position runs from September 8, 2026, through December 7, 2026, with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience as a paraprofessional, preferably in a school or early childhood program
• Highly qualified status required prior to presentation (choose one):
  • Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para or Para Educator Exam
  • Minimum of 60 completed college credits (official transcripts required)
• Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach with young children
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an education team
• Reliable attendance and a proactive attitude

Responsibilities:

• Support educators in the daily care and instruction of children aged 2 to 3 years
• Assist with implementation of individualized programs and classroom activities
• Foster an inclusive and positive environment for all students
• Provide supervision, redirection, and encouragement to promote learning and engagement
• Maintain accurate records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to school policies

This opportunity is a contract position with the potential to transition to direct employment with the school district after 422 hours of service, offering growth and long-term stability.
