Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for passionate and dedicated paraprofessionals who want to make a meaningful difference in an elementary school setting. This contract position is based near Anoka, MN, supporting students at Wilson Elementary. There are three immediate openings: one center-based paraprofessional and two resource-based (Setting 1 & 2) roles. What Were Looking For:

  • Previous experience or strong interest in paraprofessional or educational support roles
  • Must be highly qualified by meeting ONE of these criteria:
    • Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
    • At least 60 college credits with official transcripts required
  • Ability to support students in both classroom and resource settings
  • Willingness to assist with toileting and other personal care tasks as needed
  • Flexible and comfortable working across different grade levels throughout the school day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to students as directed by teaching staff
  • Adapt to working with different grade levels, with morning and afternoon rotations for Setting 1 & 2 positions
  • Support daily routines, including assistance with mobility or toileting if required
  • Collaborate professionally with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all district requirements
  • Complete a 90-day contracting period with a pathway to direct hire after 422 hours
