Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Must meet the district's highly qualified requirements by EITHER:
    • Passing the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (submit proof of passing the MN Para Educator Exam)
    • OR completion of at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; a degree or diploma is not sufficient)
  • Prior paraprofessional experience in a school setting is preferred
  • Comfortable assisting students, including with toileting and personal care needs
  • Able to adapt quickly and work collaboratively within different school teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to high school students under the direction of licensed staff
  • Assisting with classroom activities, one-on-one or small group work, and managing daily routines
  • Supporting students with varying needs, including personal care when necessary
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, staff, and students to support educational goals
