Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting young learners in a vibrant, elementary extended school year (ESY) program. This position is near North St. Paul, MN, and runs from July 6 to July 23, with an orientation session in June (exact date to be determined). The schedule offers consistent weekday hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:45am to 2:15pm, featuring a 30-minute lunch break, for a total of 20 hours per week.

Youll be based across three different sites with multiple paraprofessional openings at each location. Responsibilities include either working one-on-one with students or assisting within the classroom to support academic and behavioral success. Your role is vital in making learning accessible and engaging for every child.

Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional certification required (Para Test Certification)
• Proof of two years post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits from an accredited institution) or a college degree
• Experience in school or classroom settings preferred
• Confidence collaborating with educators, staff, and students
• Strong communication, flexibility, and a positive, nurturing attitude

Key Responsibilities:

• Work individually with students or alongside classroom teachers to implement lesson plans and classroom routines
• Provide support to help students reach learning and social goals
• Encourage engagement and independence in learners
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
• Adapt to the varying needs of students and classrooms as directed by faculty
