Step into a rewarding summer opportunity supporting students and making a meaningful impact during ESY (Extended School Year) programming. This contract position is ideal for highly qualified paraprofessionals ready to bring their skills and enthusiasm to a supportive educational environment. Assignments are available across elementary, middle, and high school caseloads, with placements determined by student needs. The program runs Monday through Thursday, from June 15 to June 25, 2026, with daily hours between 8:55am and 12:25pm (site-specific schedules may vary).
Key Qualifications:
- Must meet the Highly Qualified Paraprofessional standard in Minnesota, which can be achieved by either: Passing the MN Para Educator Exam (attach proof of passing); Or completing 60+ college credits with official transcripts (diplomas cannot be accepted);
- Required documentationeither test results or official transcriptsmust be submitted with your resume to be considered;
- Previous experience in a school setting as a paraprofessional is highly desirable;
- Adaptability to work with students from elementary to high school;
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and staff within a team-focused environment;
- Strong communication, patience, and dedication to student success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive support to students with diverse learning needs during ESY programming;
- Assist classroom teachers in instructional activities and classroom management;
- Offer one-on-one or small group guidance, fostering a positive learning atmosphere;
- Adapt strategies to meet varying student requirements and program goals;
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
