This full-time onsite contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where youll support K-12 students in achieving greater independence and academic success.
Your expertise will play a vital role in developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to each students unique needs, collaborating closely with educators, support staff, and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license (OK OT License)
- Prior experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of developmental, physical, sensory, and environmental factors affecting students
- Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student populations and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students to determine occupational therapy needs
- Develop and execute individualized therapy programs based on assessments and IEP goals
- Document progress and adjust plans in accordance with student growth
- Work directly with teachers, staff, and families to maximize each students participation in classroom and extracurricular activities
- Provide ongoing consultation and resources to school teams and caregivers
- Maintain documentation and comply with all relevant state, district, and federal guidelines
