Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students within a vibrant educational setting on a contract basis. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and families, making a meaningful difference in young lives while using your expertise to help students achieve their full potential.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state
- Previous experience delivering OT services in a school or pediatric environment
- Strong evaluation, intervention, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in accordance with IEPs or 504 plans
- Monitor progress and make recommendations for modifications as needed
- Complete accurate records, reports, and documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and advocating for student needs
- Educate and support staff and parents regarding therapy goals and strategies
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
