Qualifications and Experience:
- Active license as an Occupational Therapist in the state, or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous experience in an educational setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with K-12 students, across elementary, middle, and high school age groups
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate with educators and families
- Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in supporting student needs
- Organized and able to manage documentation and caseload efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine their needs for occupational therapy as part of the educational environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with educational teams
- Provide both direct and consultative services, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Assist students in building skills for classroom participation and daily living
- Track progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt interventions as students needs change throughout the school year
