Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapist certification required
  • Experience or interest in working with K-12 students across various school environments
  • Familiarity with occupational therapy services in educational, healthcare, and home health contexts
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt strategies to students unique needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to students in K-12, supporting their academic and functional participation
  • Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure coordinated care and seamless communication
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations targeted to each student's goals
  • Document all sessions, maintain records, and comply with state and federal regulations

Job Details:

  • Contract role
  • Located near Wyandotte, MI, with primary work site in Southgate, MI
  • 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
