Ideal qualifications and experience:

  • Completion of a Masters degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current and valid state OT license
  • Prior experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred

  • Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Organizational skills to manage documentation, schedules, and caseloads effectively

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing students needs and developing personalized treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory, and functional skills
  • Delivering targeted therapy sessions individually and in small groups, adapting approaches as needed
  • Collaborating with teachers and staff to integrate OT interventions into the classroom setting
  • Documenting progress, preparing reports, and participating in IEP meetings
  • Providing guidance to families and educators on strategies to support students ongoing development
  • Remaining current on best practices and educational trends within school-based OT
