Step into a fulfilling, part-time position supporting early learners for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity enables an Occupational Therapist to shape young lives and collaborate with dedicated teams in a welcoming educational environment just north of Chicago. Working 24 hours per week (Monday through Friday), youll play a vital role in early childhood settings, delivering services essential to students academic and developmental success.
As an Occupational Therapist in this school-based setting, your ability to adapt and foster creative supports for children will be highly valued. The assignment involves traveling between school buildings within the district as needed, assisting a diverse student population. Experience in pediatric or special education environments is preferred, as is a steadfast commitment to supporting student achievement through therapeutic intervention.
Qualifications:
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) credential required
- Current state OT license in good standing
- Experience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy preferred
- Flexibility to travel within school buildings in the district
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for fostering growth and independence in young children
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to early childhood students in accordance with IEPs and best practices
- Assess students needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Support an inclusive environment and advocate for students access to educational opportunities
