Ready to make a positive impact as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant Vermont school district? This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work across four K-12 schools, supporting students and staff with your expertise in school-based OT services.
As a district-wide Occupational Therapist, you will collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to deliver individualized and group therapy. You'll assess student needs, develop and implement intervention plans, and contribute to IEP meetings, all while building strong connections across this engaging educational community.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid OT certification in Vermont (VT OT Certificate required)
- Experience in providing occupational therapy services to school-aged children, K-12
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and procedures
- Ability to work full-time (35-37.5 hours per week) for the contract duration: August 26, 2026, to June 14, 2027
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering students independence and engagement in their educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide district-wide OT services across four school buildings serving K-12 students
- Evaluate students and develop individualized treatment plans to support learning and accessibility
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive student support teams
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with district and state guidelines
