These full-time, on-site positions serve students across K-12 levels in the San Fernando Valley, giving you the chance to enrich educational experiences and foster student independence. Contracts begin August 11, 2026, and continue through June 4, 2027. Assignments range from serving one campus to working itinerantly between multiple sites, supporting diverse caseloads and collaborating with education professionals.
Your expertise in occupational therapy within educational settings will be highly valued as you assess, support, and empower students with a variety of needs. Familiarity with school-based OT processes and special education terminology will help you thrive in these roles.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license for the state of California
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience or strong knowledge of OT in a school-based setting
- Comfortable navigating the Special Education process and using standardized assessments
- Understanding of education-specific guidelines and terminology
- Capable of independently managing diverse and itinerant caseloads
- Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families
- Flexible and adaptable to shifting school assignments
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Conducting student assessments, developing intervention plans, and delivering direct and consultative services
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and special education teams
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with school and state guidelines
- Attending IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
