Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially in adaptive or learning support settings
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in creating and adapting intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Familiarity with IEPs, progress documentation, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches
- Creative problem-solving abilities to overcome barriers to student participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance academic achievement and independence
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and parents to support student inclusion and targeted interventions
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Provide consultation and guidance to staff on accommodations, classroom strategies, and equipment use
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on practices and resources
