A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services within a K-12 school environment. This contract position supports students' developmental and educational goals by delivering tailored occupational therapy interventions.
Location: Columbus, GA
Duration: Contract (CSY)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Georgia OT or COTA license
- Experience working in school settings is preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote students physical, sensory, and cognitive development
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Provide consultative support and education to families and school staff
