Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapeutic services within a K-12 school environment. This contract position supports students' developmental and educational goals by delivering tailored occupational therapy interventions.

Location: Columbus, GA
Duration: Contract (CSY)
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
Age Group: Kindergarten through 12th grade

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Georgia OT or COTA license
  • Experience working in school settings is preferred
  • Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy principles
  • Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to identify students occupational therapy needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote students physical, sensory, and cognitive development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Provide consultative support and education to families and school staff
