Embark on a fulfilling opportunity impacting young learners as an Occupational Therapist supporting a K-3rd grade caseload for a maternity leave contract. In this W2 contract position, youll bring your expertise to a vibrant school environment near Webster, NY, helping students reach their full potential through therapeutic support suited to their unique needs.
Youll have the chance to make a tangible difference across on-site and virtual settingsworking collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other specialists to craft the best outcomes for each child.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid occupational therapy license (New York preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in school-based OT, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy settings
- Comfort supporting primary school-aged children (K-3)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both education professionals and families
- Adaptability to varying needs and learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of students in grades K-3
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in line with IEP goals
- Complete assessments, progress notes, and required documentation efficiently
- Consult with teachers and participate in team meetings, providing strategies to support classroom success
- Provide therapy in-person and virtually as needed, ensuring continuity of care
- Support transitions and address fine motor, sensory, and functional skill needs relevant to early childhood development
